Interesting fruitseller

I often take up this example of fruit seller whom I notice in the market place selling different varieties of fruits.
Big Marketing honcho`s explain the method of product line and product mix, but here is a critical example to watch for.

Ever tried to understand why this fruit seller and others alike him are still surviving competition in the midst of challenging retail competition?
The answer is- these fruit seller is very good with his customer perception and product knowledge.This can be taken up as a fantastic example and used in every field of marketing.Just imitate a fruit seller and see, you have no chance to fail.

Another interesting incident is the amount of price that he escalates for a local customer and a passerby!3% for the regular and 10-15% for the passerby.He is so confident with his price strategy that he is aware of what price to throw.

His market knowledge and stratification is based on his whole day experience withe very growing day of customer transits.

This is one example I love to understand and can also prove beneficial for the general marketers.
